Deniz Dokum who started casting production in 1971, was founded by Mechanical Engineer (MSc) Gultekin Guney together with two foremens in a hired workshop. In 1977 Deniz Dokum moved to Eskisehir OSB to its own workshop. Back then we were only casting grey iron with cupola furnace, now we have a nominal 450 tonnes monthly casting capacity and we can cast any special steel alloy (stainless, low alloy high strength etc.) our clients demand in addition to cast iron, ductile iron, aluminum and copper alloys.Our current maximum single piece casting capacity is 5 tonnes. In 2005 we built our automatic molding line orders with large counts using a high pressure molding machine from SINTO from Germany. The line is capable of molding 35 molds per hour with sizes up to 650 x 500 x 200 mm. Also we have a moisture controlled turbo mixer with 10 tonnes per hour capacity from Eirich from Germany. Thus we precisely control the mold sands that we mix. Deniz Dokum which is now situated in a 6500 square meters facility, can mold large parts using Furan air hardening resins. For this purpose we have a 5 tonnes per hour capacity automatic resin mixer. Additionally we have imported a 10 tonnes per hour double arm resin sand mixer in 2005 from FTL (UK) and increased our capacity further. We make our cores using Shell method. In 2005 we decided to obtain machining capability in order to machine our core boxes and to provide some casting in final machined shape. Our company is now a licensed user of Solidworks and SolidCAM and we can machine any model, molds or parts with our various CNC milling machines and lathes. Additionally we have machining machines like cutting and drilling machines as well. In order to meet the increased demand and competition with our ISO 9001 quality approval, we are continuously investing in new technologies. We finally want to thank to all our clients without whom we wouldn’t be able to exist for 45 years.
